The Friday October 5, 2007 panel sessions include 8 panel sessions on Friday afternoon and a separate "Legacy" presentation on Friday evening. Each panel leader will develop, coordinate and moderate a panel with assistance from the panelists.
It's anticipated that there will be about 20 minutes of Q&A following the panel presentations.
Each panel will be video taped and held in the Computer History Museum's archives for future generations to access when researching Fairchild and the semiconductor industry.
Space is limited for all panels, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets are $35 for early bird purchase.
Friday evening legacy panel (7:00 - 9:00 pm)
Floyd Kvamme will moderate a panel of industry leaders including Gordon Moore, Jerry Sanders and Wilf Corrigan who will explore the lasting impact of Fairchild Semiconductor on Silicon Valley and the world. Discussions will span the times from Fairchild Semiconductor's beginnings until it's sale in 1978.
The evening "Legacy of Fairchild" panel will begin at 7:00 PM and will be preceded by a reception at 6:00 PM. Pre-submitted questions from the audience will follow.
Space is limited to 400 people. Tickets are $50 each for early bird purchase, limit 2 per person.

Friday afternoon panels and presentations (1:00 - 5:45 pm)
How better to capture the history of Fairchild and the semiconductor industry than from the words and stories of those who were there at the beginning and from others who did the heavy lifting during the years that followed. The goal of the panels is to bring back memorable snippets of Fairchild’s history, products and culture and to briefly relive some of those interesting times.
Each panel will be video taped and held in the Computer History Museum archives for future generations to access when researching Fairchild and the semiconductor industry.
Seating is limited, so purchase your tickets now. Tickets for the entire afternoon are $35 each. Tickets purchased after June 15 are $50 each.
Multiple sessions beginning at 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon will include presentations, discussions, and storytelling sessions spanning the people, products, events, and highlights of the company history. Each session will last 50 minutes and will be chaired and/or moderated by someone closely associated with that activity. Sessions may take the form of a panel discussion spanning various eras or brief anecdotes from the speakers’ Fairchild experiences. There will also be ample time for questions for the panelists and impromptu anecdotes from the audience.
