mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of Fairchild
Semiconductor, as well as the 10th anniversary of the new Fairchild
Semiconductor of South Portland, Maine, a series of events will
be held at Stanford University and at the Computer History Museum
in Mountain View, California from October 4 through 6, 2007.

October 4, 2007 - Evening Founders Panel
Fairchild Semiconductor founders Gordon
Moore, Jay Last and Julius Blank, as well as venture capitalist
Arthur Rock, will discuss the founding of the company in a panel
moderated by Leslie Berlin of the Silicon Valley Archives at Stanford
University.

5, 2007 - Afternoon Panels
A series of presentations, discussions
and storytelling sessions will celebrate the people, products, events and highlights of the Founding Years, Digital Bipolar, MOS, Linear,

Floyd Kvamme will moderate a panel
of industry leaders including Gordon Moore, Jerry Sanders and Wilf
Corrigan who will explore the lasting impact of Fairchild Semiconductor
on Silicon Valley and the world.
Saturday October 6, 2007 - Evening
Gala Celebration
A reunion celebration
gala at the Computer History Museum for Fairchild alumni and guests
will bring many Fairchildren together to remember our accomplishments
and share stories and memories. The evening will include tasty food
buffets, no host bars, meeting stations for Fairchild affinity groups,
music, continuous videos and slides, historic photo and memento
displays, an artifact donation station, an oral history recording
booth and viewing of museum exhibits.
